Here's a nice easy one.
Beef Crunchies (will keep for a year in an airtight container)
Dice 500g (1lb) lean beef into half-inch cubes.   Place on a parchment-covered baking tray and put into a cold oven.   Heat to 300F (150C) & cook for an hour. Reduce the temperature to 210F (100C) and leave the oven door ajar to let the moisture escape, for a further 2 hours.
Dry the crunchies overnight at room temperature.

Tuna & Mint Dog Cake

Ingredients: Small tin tuna in sunflower oil, 1kg self raising flour, 250g porridge oats, 2 eggs with shells (for extra calcium), 2 teaspoons of dried mint, water

Method: Liquidise tuna, eggs (adding the shells), water, dried mint until smooth consistency. Add small amounts of flour and oats to mixer or bowl, adding the liquid slowly until all ingredients together make a sponglike mixture. Add more water if too dry and more flour if too runny.

Place mixture in a loaf tin or cake tin (not too deep as it takes longer to cook - approx 1.5 inches deep), cook in centre of oven until cooked through. Gas mark 200 for approx 30 mins. Check with a knife to ensure centre is cooked. When cooked through remove and place on wire tray to cool. Cut into small cubes. Suitable for freezing or, to extend the life you can return cubes to the oven and leave on a low heat to crisp up like croutons...
